Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 20, 2026

Summary: PinBoostr collects only what's needed to provide the service. We never sell your data. We use Pinterest's official API and OAuth 2.0 — we never store your Pinterest password. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use PinBoostr:

  • Account information: Your name and email address when you register.
  • Pinterest data: Access tokens, board names, and pin data obtained via Pinterest's official OAuth 2.0 API, used solely to power the scheduling and analytics features.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and error logs to improve the service.
  • Payment information: Processed securely through Paddle.com (our Merchant of Record). We do not store credit card numbers or billing details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the PinBoostr service.
  • To schedule pins and sync with your Pinterest account on your behalf.
  • To send transactional emails (scheduling confirmations, billing receipts).
  • To contact you about product updates and support (you can opt out anytime).

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We share data only with:

  • Pinterest: Required to post pins and read analytics via their official API.
  • Paddle.com Market Limited: Our Merchant of Record, who processes all payments, handles tax/VAT, and issues receipts. See Paddle’s Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated, anonymised data about how visitors interact with our website (pages viewed, session duration, traffic sources). Google may process this data on servers in the United States. See Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Infrastructure providers: Hosting services that help us operate the platform (data processing agreements in place).

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies to:

  • Keep you logged in (session cookies).
  • Analyse usage patterns via Google Analytics (_ga, _gid, _gat cookies). These cookies collect anonymised information such as pages visited, session duration, and traffic sources. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google.

Google Analytics cookies persist for up to 2 years. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or adjusting your browser cookie settings. Some features of PinBoostr may not work without session cookies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data.
  • Revoke Pinterest access at any time from your Pinterest settings or the PinBoostr dashboard.
  • Export your data (available in dashboard settings).

To exercise these rights, email privacy@pinboostr.com.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including AES-256 encryption for stored tokens, HTTPS for all data in transit, and regular security audits. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure — we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to protect your data.

8. Children's Privacy

PinBoostr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the dashboard. Continued use of PinBoostr after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
