About this tool

Pinterest titles and descriptions that match, from one keyword

Your pin title is what people read in the feed, and your description tells Pinterest what the pin is about. This free AI generator writes both from one topic: ten title ideas across how-to, list, beginner, seasonal and budget angles, plus eight descriptions that lead with your keyword and end with a soft call to action like save, read, shop or try.

Write the two together and they stay on the same topic. Pick a title, pick the description that fits the same angle, and keep that keyword on the board name and the page the pin links to. Pinterest then sees one clear topic instead of several weak ones, and people get what the pin promised.

Keep the same keyword across your whole Pinterest workflow with the Free Pinterest Hashtag Generator, Free Pinterest Keyword Research Tool, Free Pinterest Board Name Generator and Pinterest Alt Text Generator.

How it works

How to use this tool for faster Pinterest discovery

A single free generator is useful, but the ranking advantage comes from using the same topic language across pins, boards, descriptions and the destination page. Keep each output tied to a real keyword cluster instead of creating isolated copy.

  1. 1

Type the topic of one pin

Use the phrase the pin should be found for, such as "high protein meal prep". One pin, one topic gives the sharpest copy.

  2. 2

Pick a title and a description

You get pin titles and descriptions in one go. Choose a title, then the description that fits the same angle, such as how-to, checklist or seasonal.

  3. 3

Edit it, then paste it into Pinterest

Add a detail only you know, check every claim against your post, then paste the title and description into the matching fields when you create the pin.

When it helps

Most useful when one post needs several pins

Writing one title is easy. Writing five different pins for the same blog post, each with its own angle, is where people get stuck and start copying the same sentence. Run the post's main keyword through the generator and you get a spread of angles to choose from: a how-to pin, a checklist pin, a beginner pin and a seasonal pin, each with copy that matches.

Bonus tip on alt text: the tool does not write it yet, but it takes one sentence. If you add alt text to a pin, describe what is actually in the image, such as "Five glass meal prep containers with chicken, rice and roasted vegetables", without stuffing in extra keywords. The free Pinterest alt text generator turns your notes on the image into ready options.

If you want this done for every post on your site, the PinBoostr AI pin generator designs branded pins from your posts and writes the titles and descriptions for each one. Nothing is published until you approve it.

Honest limits

What the generator does not know

The ideas come from AI, not from Pinterest data. The tool does not see search counts or which pins are popular, and it has not read your post. Check every detail it writes, such as cook times, prices or the number of items in a list, and change anything that does not match your page.

Pinterest sets the limits: a pin title can be up to 100 characters and a description up to 800. Pinterest also says descriptions do not appear when people view a pin in the home feed or search feed, and that descriptions "are used by our algorithm to determine relevance for delivery" (source: Review Pin specs, Pinterest Help Center). So the title and image do the visible work, and the description helps Pinterest understand the pin.

Questions

Asked often

How long can a Pinterest pin title and description be?

Pinterest allows up to 100 characters for a pin title and up to 800 characters for a description, according to its Pin specs in the Help Center. Pinterest's ad guidelines add that the first 40 characters of a title are the most likely to show, so put the main keyword early.

Do Pinterest descriptions affect SEO?

Yes. Pinterest's Help Center says descriptions are used by its algorithm to determine relevance for delivery. Write them for people first: name the topic early, say what the pin offers and keep the wording natural.

How do I write a good Pinterest pin title?

Lead with the keyword people would search, then add the angle or outcome, for example "Small Home Office Ideas That Fit in Any Corner". Keep it specific and readable rather than clever, and match it to the page the pin links to.

Can I change a pin title after publishing?

Usually, yes. Open the pin, choose Edit Pin from the menu and change the title or description. Pinterest notes that the details you can edit depend on how the pin was created, and the image itself cannot be changed after publishing.

Should I put hashtags in my pin description?

You can. Pinterest's Help Center says the description can include hashtags. Keep it to a few specific tags at the end of a helpful description. The free Pinterest hashtag generator on this site writes small sets for any topic.

Is the title and description generator free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no account. To keep it fast for everyone there is an hourly fair-use limit per visitor, and results for the same topic are saved for a day.
