1. Information We Collect
This policy applies to the PinBoostr website, web dashboard, and mobile app. We collect the following information when you use PinBoostr:
- Account information: Your name, email address, password authentication details, verification status, plan, and account settings.
- Login information: Authentication tokens used to keep you signed in. In the mobile app, tokens are stored on your device using secure device storage where available.
- Google sign-in data: If you choose Google sign-in, we receive the account information Google provides for authentication, such as your email address and profile name.
- Pinterest data: Access tokens, account identifiers, usernames, profile images, board names, pin data, scheduling data, and analytics obtained via Pinterest's official OAuth 2.0 API, used solely to power scheduling, account management, and analytics features.
- Content and scheduling data: Pin titles, descriptions, source URLs, rendered image URLs, selected boards, approval status, scheduled times, posted times, and related error messages.
- Usage and device data: Pages or screens visited, features used, app client type, timezone, browser or device information, IP address, and error logs to operate and improve the service.
- Payment information: Processed securely through Dodo Payments, Inc., our Merchant of Record. We do not store credit card numbers, payment credentials, or full billing details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the PinBoostr service.
- To schedule pins and sync with your Pinterest account on your behalf.
- To show your connected Pinterest accounts, scheduled jobs, and analytics in the dashboard and mobile app.
- To send transactional emails, including scheduling confirmations, billing notices, and account updates.
- To contact you about product updates and support. You can opt out of marketing emails anytime.
- To detect abuse, troubleshoot errors, protect accounts, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
We share data only with:
- Pinterest: Required to post pins and read analytics via their official API.
- Google: Used for Google sign-in when you choose that option, and for Google Analytics on the website.
- Dodo Payments, Inc.: Our Merchant of Record and payment provider, who processes payments, tax and VAT, receipts, invoices, refunds, disputes, and order management for Dodo-processed transactions. See the Dodo Payments Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated, anonymized data about how visitors interact with our website, including pages viewed, session duration, and traffic sources. Google may process this data on servers in the United States. See Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Infrastructure and communication providers: Hosting, database, email, support, and operational services that help us operate the platform, with data processing agreements where required.
- App stores: Apple and Google may process app download, purchase, crash, review, or store account information under their own privacy policies when you use their app stores.
4. Mobile App Data
The PinBoostr mobile app connects to the same PinBoostr account and API used by the web dashboard.
- The app does not request access to your camera, contacts, precise location, microphone, photos, or notifications.
- The app stores your login token locally so you can stay signed in. You can remove it by logging out or deleting the app.
- The app sends requests to PinBoostr over HTTPS and identifies itself as the mobile app client.
- The app does not collect data in the background for advertising or tracking purposes.
5. Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies to:
- Keep you logged in using session cookies.
- Analyze usage patterns via Google Analytics cookies such as
_ga,_gid, and_gat. These cookies collect anonymized information such as pages visited, session duration, and traffic sources. No personally identifiable information is intentionally sent to Google.
Google Analytics cookies persist for up to 2 years. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or adjusting your browser cookie settings. Some PinBoostr features may not work without session cookies.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide PinBoostr. You may request account deletion by emailing privacy@pinboostr.com or through available account settings.
After a verified deletion request, we remove or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal compliance, payment records, tax compliance, fraud prevention, dispute handling, security, or legitimate business recordkeeping.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Revoke Pinterest access at any time from your Pinterest settings or the PinBoostr dashboard.
- Export your data where available in dashboard settings.

8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted transport over HTTPS, restricted access to production systems, and protected storage for authentication tokens where available. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to protect your data.
9. Children's Privacy
PinBoostr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the dashboard. Continued use of PinBoostr after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
