About this tool

Make the place the headline

Travel pins are saved for later, so the destination and the kind of guide ("3 days in Lisbon", "packing list") need to be clear before anyone taps. These templates give the photo most of the pin and keep the title in a solid band.

Pull in the title and photos from one of your posts under Photos, or upload your own. Your files stay on your device.

Different photos of the same place make good extra pins for one post: try a landmark, a street scene and a food shot, each linking to the same guide.

How it works

Four steps, about a minute

  1. 1

    Pick a template

Start from a ready 2:3 design, or from the blank starter. Filter templates by niche.

  2. 2

    Make it yours

Double-click text to type your headline, swap in your photo, change fonts and colours, add shapes and icons.

  3. 3

    Check the safe area

Keep the headline inside the dashed guide so nothing important sits under Pinterest's buttons on a phone.

  4. 4

    Download

Save a PNG or JPG at full size. Your pin is drawn on your device, so it is ready in seconds.

Reference

Pin sizes and files

  • Standard, 1000 × 1500The 2:3 shape Pinterest recommends for pins. Every template starts here.
  • Square, 1000 × 1000Fine for products and quotes. Smart resize re-flows a design to it.
  • Classic long, 1000 × 1920Taller pins can be cut off in the feed, so keep the key words near the top.
  • PNGSharpest text and flat colour. The better pick for text-heavy pins.
  • JPGA smaller file, good for photo-led pins.
  • Template file (.pbt.json)Your design as a reusable PinBoostr template. Import it in the app's template editor.

Questions

Asked often

What should a travel pin say?

The place and what the post gives the reader: an itinerary, a budget, a packing list. Numbers help, like "3 days" or "12 spots".

Can I use photos from my own blog?

Yes. Paste a post address under Photos to pull them in, or upload the originals for the sharpest download.

Is this pin maker really free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no download limit, because the pin is drawn by your own browser rather than on our servers.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Photos you add stay in your browser and are forgotten when you close the page. If you use "Start from your blog post", PinBoostr reads that public page to find its title and photos, and a photo your browser cannot load directly is fetched through PinBoostr for the download.

Does PinBoostr post pins for me?

PinBoostr can design pins from each new post and schedule them to your boards, but you approve every pin before it is posted. Nothing goes out under your name without your OK.
