No, Pinterest does not pay creators for views, followers or Pins as of October 29, 2026. Its creator site lists brand partnerships, product tags and affiliate links as the ways to earn, and says Pinterest "will not be directly involved in payment"; the only money Pinterest itself hands out is the Pinterest Inclusion Fund, a selective program for creators new to Pinterest. This page covers each creator program Pinterest offers today, who can use it and where, what happened to Creator Rewards and the Creator Fund, and how creators actually get paid. Checked on create.pinterest.com, help.pinterest.com and Pinterest's newsroom on October 29, 2026.
Does Pinterest pay you for views?
No. There is no Pinterest program that pays per view, per impression, per follower or per Pin. Pinterest's creator page answers "How do I make money on Pinterest?" with "monetization opportunities such as brand partnerships, product tags, affiliate links and more." In each of those, someone other than Pinterest pays you: a brand, a merchant or an affiliate network.
So "how much does Pinterest pay for 1,000 views?" has a plain answer: nothing directly. Your income depends on what people do after they click your Pin. To estimate what your clicks could be worth, use the free Pinterest earnings calculator with your own numbers.

How each way to earn works
Affiliate links
Pinterest's Grow and succeed page says you can tag Pins using affiliate links "so you can earn commission when people click through and shop." Pinterest is not part of the affiliate agreement; it names Rakuten, LTK, Shop Style and Amazon Associates US as official partners. This is where most Pinterest creator income comes from. Start with our Pinterest affiliate marketing guide, then compare 15 programs in the best affiliate programs for Pinterest.
Product tags
Pinterest's help page says you can tag your Pin "with up to 24 of your related products or other merchants' products." Tags make your picks shoppable, but a tag on its own pays nothing. It earns when the tagged product carries your affiliate link, which is what Amazon Storefront Linking does for Amazon products.
Paid partnerships and brand deals
Brands pay creators to make Pins. Pinterest provides the label, not the payment: its creator page says "When you use the paid partnership tool, you work directly with brands to define the payment terms and process." Pinterest lists five kinds of brand partnership: paid partnerships, product or service only, user-generated content, giveaways, and trips, events or speaking engagements.
Amazon Storefront Linking
Pinterest announced it on June 10, 2026. Members of the Amazon Influencer Program connect their Storefront to a Pinterest business account, and when they tag eligible Amazon products in image or video Pins, Pinterest applies their affiliate link automatically and adds a disclosure. Setup and Amazon's rules are in our Amazon affiliate on Pinterest guide.
Pinterest Inclusion Fund
This is the one program where Pinterest itself pays. Pinterest's July 24, 2026 announcement says the fund, "now in its sixth year," has supported over 500 content producers since 2021. Accepted creators "can unlock monetary incentives, receive coaching and training sessions from Pinterest experts." Pinterest does not publish the amount. The 2026 application window ran until August 4, 2026.
The US criteria on Pinterest's Inclusion Fund page: a legal resident of the 50 United States or D.C., 18 or older, an active creator on at least two other social platforms, creating fashion, beauty or lifestyle content, and new to Pinterest. Other countries have their own criteria pages. It is a cohort program, not an income stream: you apply, a small group is chosen, and the support lasts for that cycle.
What happened to Creator Rewards?
Pinterest did once pay creators for engagement. On October 20, 2021, Pinterest's newsroom introduced Creator Rewards as "its first-ever in-product monetization program for creators," available in the US, with "engagement-based goals inspired by trending topics or new Idea Pin features." It said it was investing $20 million in Creator Rewards and other creator initiatives.
It did not last. On December 1, 2022, a reply in the Pinterest Business Community said "Creator Rewards has ended as of November 30th." No program that pays for views or engagement has replaced it. If you see a 2026 article quoting Creator Rewards payouts, it is out of date.
What happened to the Creator Fund?
The Creator Fund was the earlier name for what is now the Inclusion Fund. In March 2022, Pinterest's business blog said each participant in its first 2022 cycle would receive "$25,000 in the form of a cash grant, ad credits and an equipment stipend," that the fund was "based in the US for now," and that it planned to expand to Brazil and the UK. That $25,000 figure was for the 2022 cycle; Pinterest has not published an amount for 2026.
Turn product and affiliate pages into pins you approve. Since your income comes from the clicks your Pins earn, the work is publishing fresh, keyword-led Pins every week. The PinBoostr AI Pin generator turns a page into Pin designs with titles and descriptions, and you approve each Pin before it publishes through the official Pinterest API.
Can you get monetized on Pinterest? The requirements
There is no single "monetization" switch on Pinterest and no follower minimum set by Pinterest itself. The requirements depend on the route:
- Any commercial use: a free business account. See our Pinterest business account guide.
- Affiliate links: acceptance by a program. Some set follower minimums; Rakuten, for example, asks social publishers for 500 followers and 5 posts in the previous 6 months.
- Amazon Storefront Linking: a business account and the Amazon Influencer Program, where the feature is available in your region.
- Brand deals: an audience and a portfolio a brand will pay for.
- Inclusion Fund: the criteria of that year's cycle, including being new to Pinterest.
How to get Pinterest brand deals
- Build a focused profile in one niche, with steady, original Pins, so a brand can see what you would make for them.
- Track your results. Brands ask for impressions, saves and outbound clicks. Our Pinterest analytics guide explains each metric.
- Pitch brands you already pin, with a short proposal and examples of your best Pins.
- Agree terms outside Pinterest: deliverables, payment and usage rights. Pinterest is not involved in payment.
- Use the paid partnership label. Per Pinterest's Help Center, it is only in the Pinterest app: under Advanced settings, turn on the label and add one brand. The brand approves the tag, and the label cannot be added after the Pin is published.
The brand can then promote your Pin as an ad, which keeps the partnership label.
How much can creators earn on Pinterest?
Pinterest publishes no creator earnings figures, and we will not guess. Earnings come from clicks, so the honest benchmark is clicks. In our own case study of one new account, a manual month brought 4.8K impressions and 62 outbound clicks (1.3%), and the next month, with Growth Brain preparing Pins for approval, brought 20.07K impressions and 515 outbound clicks (about 2.6%). That is one account, not a promise, and it measures clicks, not income. Turn your own clicks into an estimate with the earnings calculator, and see every route to income in how to make money on Pinterest.
